Deciding to make a change in your life is so intimidating.

It’s like running a race. You know the distance you have to go, and it seems way too far. You think, “Me? Run that many miles? No, I can’t do that.”

But you can take a step. Just one step… And then another, and then another.

And before you know it, those steps have built up, and you’re crossing the finish line.

You’ve done it!

Lysa TerKeurst says, “Big things are built one brick at a time.”

So, if you’re staring at the change you want to make, feeling discouraged because of how long the road looks, remember:

You don’t have to change everything at once. You just have to take the first step.
