Molly’s Minute: Uncover Your Mistakes So God’s Grace Can Cover Them

When I was a kid and I would do something wrong, there was absolutely no hiding it from my parents. They always just knew. And I knew that they knew.

But even though they already knew, I still felt guilty over what I had done. And that guilt never went away until after I admitted my mistake to them.

Because it wasn’t until I told them what I did that I could receive their forgiveness for it.

Maybe you’re living with some guilt today. If you are, I want to tell you:

God’s grace won’t come in and cover what we are unwilling to uncover.

Just like my parents did, God knows our mistakes already.

But that guilt won’t lift off our shoulders until after we go to God, admit our mistakes, and ask for forgiveness.

God’s grace will cover every mistake that we uncover. But we have to uncover them first.
