Molly’s Minute: Trusting The Promise Maker & Promise Keeper

My younger brother, Jadon, really values promises.
If you keep a promise you made to him, he’ll remember. And you’ll have his trust for a while.
But if you break a promise, he’ll remember that, too. And the next time you promise him something, he won’t really believe that you’ll make good on that promise.
In a way, we all do that. We decide who deserves our trust based on who keeps the promises they make.
And no one has kept more promises—no one is more deserving of our trust—than God.
Joshua 21:45 says, “Not one of the good promises which the Lord had made to the house of Israel failed; all came to pass.”
So, whatever is on your heart today, you can trust God with it with confidence. You can believe in His promises with your whole heart, because He has never broken a single promise.
He is the promise making and promise keeping God.
