Molly’s Minute: The Workout You Didn’t Know You Needed

I’ve been seeing so many people working out lately—being creative, doing at-home workouts, and getting outside to exercise. That’s really important while we’re all cooped up inside, so I love to see it!
But there’s one workout that I haven’t seen too many people doing. A workout that you should be getting in every day, even if you don’t work out regularly.
It’s a gratitude workout.
Alan Cohen says that gratitude is a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it grows, and the more you can use it to your advantage.
And I’ll tell you that a strong gratitude muscle—being able to focus more on what we have than what we don’t—is what will help us move through this season with joy.
So, I’d encourage you to incorporate a little gratitude workout into your every day. It’s easy: just list three things you’re thankful for—just three. And feel that gratitude muscle, and that sense of joy, growing stronger.
Psalm 9:1 “I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.”
