Molly’s Minute: The Only Reason We Need To Love

If you don’t know this about me, I am extremely indecisive.
So, I love pro-con lists. Seeing all the positives and negatives laid out in front of me makes decision-making so much easier.
But I don’t just use pro-con lists for making decisions, and neither do you.
We make pro-con lists for other people all the time.
And when we’re struggling to love another person, that list is usually the issue. We’ve got more cons than pros on our list for them.
But the thing about pro-con lists is that it’s not always about the number of pros versus the number of cons. Sometimes there’s one thing that tips the scale, because it outweighs everything else.
When it comes to other people, there is one reason to love that will always outweigh every reason not to love.
And that’s that God loves them.
So, let’s stop counting up reasons not to love others, and let’s focus on that one reason to love.
John 15:12 “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”
