Molly’s Minute: The New Has Come

After years and years of driving my 2006 Ford hatchback, my husband, Vaughn, and I decided it was time for a newer car.
But for a while, I still drove like I was in the old one.
I’d forget to use the new backup camera and still worry about making it up particularly steep hills. I’d even look for my old car in the parking lot.
I was forgetting that that car wasn’t a part of my life anymore.
Have you forgotten that your old ways are no longer a part of you?
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
If you’ve got a past, the enemy will try to bring it back up and use it against you. He’ll try to use shame and regret to weigh you down.
But in Jesus’ hands, your past has no power over you anymore.
What part of your past do you need to hand over to Jesus today so you can truly live like you’ve been made new?
