Molly’s Minute: The Constant In The Ups And Downs

A few years ago, I went rock climbing for the first time. And to be honest, it was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster.

One minute, I’d be so confident, making great progress and just flying up the cliff.

Then the next minute, I’d slip.

My heart would skip a beat and I’d think I was falling.

But then, my harness would catch me. And I’d remember that it had been there the whole time. Whether I was completely confident or sure I was about to fall, the support from my harness stayed constant.

And thankfully, our God is also constant, no matter how our circumstances might change.

Malachi 3:6, “For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.”

In this life, we will undoubtedly experience ups and downs. Our faith, our confidence, and our joy all waver. 

But God never will. 

So, whether you’re up or down today, I hope you remember that God is with you, supporting you and holding you just the same.
