Molly’s Minute: Suffering Isn’t Forever

Do you remember in high school how, when you were in it, it felt like your whole life?
It felt so important, like that was the only life you would ever know.
And then… It was over. And you realized how much more to life there was outside of high school.
Going through something difficult can feel like high school, sometimes. It can feel like what you’re dealing with will be the longest chapter of your life.
If you’re going through something tough today, I want to remind you of a promise that we have from God.
1 Peter 5:10 says, “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”
We are promised that our suffering won’t last forever. And that on the other side of it, there is joy and healing.
So, whatever you’re going through, remember, it’s just like high school. It might feel like it’s forever, but God promises that it’s only temporary.
