Molly’s Minute: How Are You Really Doing?

How are you doing?
Have you actually answered that question honestly today?
Maybe someone asked, but you knew they weren’t really listening for your answer. Maybe you didn’t think anyone could handle it if you were completely honest. You don’t feel like you can let it out.
But you don’t have to hold it in.
There is someone who’s asking you that question, who’s listening for your response, and who can handle it, whatever it is.
Psalm 62:8, “Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.”
With God, you don’t have to be OK. You don’t have to hold back or try to keep it together.
Whatever you’re feeling, He wants you to lay it all on Him.
So, I’ll ask you again:
How are you doing?
And whatever feelings come to the surface—whatever your honest answer is—go ahead. Talk to God about it.
He is a refuge for you.
