Molly’s Minute: God Listens Intently To You

Who is someone in your life that makes you feel heard? Someone who really listens to the things you say?
For me, my mom comes to mind.
When I’m talking to my mom, she’s not thinking about anything else or doing anything else. She’s looking right at me. She’s nodding her head and leaning forward.
When I talk to my mom, she actively listens to me.
And God listens to us like that, too.
Psalm 116:1-2, “I love the Lord because he hears my prayers… Because he bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I breathe!”
When we call to God in prayer, He hears us.
The one who is in control of everything—who has a million other things to do and people He’s thinking about—bends down to listen to every word you say to Him.
So as you go about your day today, know that you can talk to God as much or as often as you need.
And He will lean in to listen intently to you.
