Molly’s Minute: God Is More Than Just A Problem-Solver

When was the last time you used your phone calculator?
I’m honestly not too sure, but I think for me, it was a couple of weeks ago. It was the last time I needed to solve a math problem.
Because that’s the nature of the phone calculator. It’s always with us, but we don’t use it all the time. It’s really only there for when we have a problem to solve.
I don’t know about you, but sometimes, I treat God like that.
I only go to Him when I have a problem, even though He’s with me all the time.
But God is not a phone calculator.
God’s not just there to help us solve problems. He’s there to sustain us and strengthen us and guide us every moment of every day.
So, let’s go to God today—even if there’s no problem in sight—because He is there for more than just solving problems.
John 15:4-5 “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”
