Molly’s Minute: God Intended It For Good

In the book of Genesis, chapter 39, we find Joseph in a pretty low place.
His own brothers have sold him into servanthood in Egypt, and now, he’s been thrown in prison.
Definitely not what you’d call an ideal situation.
But God’s hands are all over it.
God helps Joseph rise from prisoner to second in command in all of Egypt. Later, because of Joseph’s position, he’s able to give his family food to get them through a famine.
Then, having saved his family, Joseph can see God’s hand in it all.
In Genesis 50:20, Joseph says to his brothers, “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”
Joseph’s story is proof—there is no situation that our God can’t use for good.
And that includes your situation today.
Whatever you’re going through, God has not left the scene. He has not let go.
Even now, He is working for your good.
