Molly’s Minute: God Has Not Let Go Of You

April 29, 2020

I don’t remember everything about learning to ride a bike. But I do remember the day my dad let go.

He said he would be holding onto the back of my bike seat, but as soon as I got going, he let go. And as soon as I saw he let go, I hit the pavement.

It kind of feels like that’s what’s happening with this pandemic.

God had us. He was holding onto our bike seats, keeping us steady. But then He let go. And now it feels like we’re on our own, wobbling like crazy, just doing our best not to fall.

But that’s not the case.

My dad had to let go of my bike so I could learn how to ride it on my own. But God never lets go of us, because He knows that we can’t walk through life by ourselves.

He doesn’t bring us this far just to let us go.

So, if you feel like you’re about to spin out of control because you can’t feel God’s hand on you these days, just keep your eyes forward. Keep pedaling and know that He’s still holding onto you.

Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”
