Molly’s Minute: Give It To God, For Real This Time
In my household, I’m a well-known take-backer.
Just the other day I asked my husband, Vaughn, to fold a load of laundry. And he said he would.
But, not five minutes later, I had picked up the basket of clothes and started folding them myself.
Of course, then, Vaughn walked in. When he saw me folding the clothes I’d asked him to fold, he stretched out his hands. And I surrendered the basket of laundry once again.
For real this time.
This happens regularly in our house. So thankfully, Vaughn is patient with me when I try to take something back from him.
And thankfully, God is patient with us then, too. Infinitely patient.
2 Timothy 2:13, “…if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself.”
When we show our faithlessness and try to take back control of a situation, God will always show His faithfulness and continue to work in it if we’ll surrender it to Him again.
