Molly’s Minute: Feeling Off Balance? Fix Your Eyes On Him.

The other day, I decided to roll out my mat and do some yoga.
It had been a while; I was a little rusty. So, when we started doing some balancing poses—holding ourselves up on one arm or on one leg—I got a bit wobbly. I started to lose my balance.
Thankfully, though, my instructor was there (virtually). And she reminded me repeatedly to keep my eyes focused on one spot, on one section of the wall or the floor.
Because fixing your gaze on something helps get your core engaged. It helps you stay balanced.
Maybe you’ve been feeling a little shaky recently. Maybe you’re even feeling like you might fall because of everything that’s going on.
If you are, then think of me as your yoga instructor today. Because I’m here to remind you to fix your eyes on God.
When things get crazy around us and our eyes stray to our circumstances, we start to feel unbalanced, shaky, and a little bit unsure.
But as soon as we fix our eyes on God, the wobbling stops. We’re rock solid again—nothing can shake us.
So, let’s get our balance back today. Let’s fix our eyes on Him.
