Molly’s Minute: Even In Unwanted Circumstances, Give Thanks

Has anyone ever given you a gift that you really didn’t like?
Talk about uncomfortable—you seriously don’t like this gift, you’re never going to use it, and you’re actually already making plans to return it as you set it to the side.
But it was a gift. So you thank the gift-giver anyway, even though you don’t like what they gave you.
Every single day, God is going to give us things we didn’t ask for, things we don’t like, and things we don’t want to keep.
But the best thing we can do with those unwanted circumstances is thank Him for them.
Because just like a bad gift is still a gift, an unwanted situation is still a blessing from God.
And when we thank Him for those circumstances, we stop complaining. We stop feeling bitter about what He’s given us. And we welcome Him into that situation, so He can make something good out of it.
Let’s thank God for every gift He gives us today. Even if we don’t like them all.
Psalm 107:8-9 “Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.”
