Molly’s Minute: Don’t Let Someone Else Ruin Your Day

When someone’s rude to me or does something that makes me upset, I think about it for the rest of the day. I think of all the things I want to say to them and wonder what I did to make them act that way towards me.

And it kind of ruins my day, because I can’t shake it off.

But it doesn’t have to.

If you’re having a bad day today because of what someone else did or said to you, think about this:

If someone has the capacity to ruin your day, you’ve given them too much power over you.

You’ve given them too much power over you. Because we are the ones who choose how much others’ words and actions affect us.

So today, choose to let it go, choose to pray for them, and choose to move on. Don’t give them the power to ruin your day.
