Molly’s Minute: Brokenness Isn’t The End

The other morning, I was about ready to throw our blender in the trash.
I put all my smoothie ingredients inside and flipped the switch. But nothing happened. So I tried again. And again. But there was no blending happening.
Like I said, I was ready to give up on the thing and just buy a new one.
But, when I showed it to my husband, Vaughn, he didn’t think it was quite done yet.
He made a few adjustments, tried flipping the switch again, and the blender turned on. Good as new.
It’s a lesson that Vaughn teaches me over and over again—that brokenness doesn’t have to be the end. Broken things can be put back together and used again.
And that includes us.
Psalm 138 says, “Though I walk in the midst of trouble… The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me…”
Nothing can stop God fulfilling His purpose for our lives. Not even our brokenness.
So, if you’ve been broken today, know that your brokenness is not the end. God hasn’t given up on you, He hasn’t tossed you to the side—even in your brokenness, He is still working on His purpose for you.
Psalm 138:7-8 “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me. The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.”
