Bobbie is the production manager and beekeeper for Hon’s Honey, a social enterprise created to give dignity and purpose to women survivors of trauma. It is an outgrowth of a loving community called The Well in Curtis Bay, MD. For many women who come to The Well, the story of the past is a painful one: filled with addiction, trafficking, generational poverty, and abuse.
Fortunately, love has a way of re-writing our stories, taking us from surviving to thriving. Bobbie Jenkins oozes with hope and joy! She has a gentle strength and humility that is disarming and she drops so much wisdom in this conversation, you may need to take notes! She talks to me about the turning point in her story and how the love of God, a good man, and a healing community helped to transform her life. Bobbie’s is a beautiful story that is just unfolding and I can’t wait for you to meet her.
