Got Plans October 28th? Here’s An Invitation Just For You

God doesn’t need us to accomplish His work, but He wants to include us.

Read that one more time.

It’s a bit humbling isn’t it? At first, you might wonder “What? God doesn’t need me?”. As humans we want to be needed; it makes us feel special and loved. But the truth is that the God of the universe doesn’t need us in order to accomplish anything. He can do it all by Himself (Acts 17:24-25).

But here’s the saving grace of it all: He wants our help. When we take a moment to ponder that, it can fill us with more love and worth than being needed by someone ever could. The God who created the heavens and the earth wants to include us in the work he does today and every day (Ephesians 2:10).

So, how exactly can we lean into God’s invitation? We can pray for Him to show us opportunities where we can serve and be His hands and feet here on Earth when given the chance.

If you’ve been praying for an opportunity or feel God gently calling you to step out in faith and service, then we have an event for you. We will be collecting food donations at van stops throughout Maryland, and we need your help.

It may seem like a small step, but it’s incredibly necessary. There are people all around us who don’t know where their next meal is coming from, but Pantry Project wants to be the change. If you have extra food you can donate, would you consider bringing it out to our next Pantry Project? This is a chance for you to step in and fill a need, an opportunity to be the vessel which God provides through.

Interested? Join us for the next Pantry Project on October 28th, 4 PM – 6 PM at Weis Markets on Bel Air Road.

Items the pantries we’re collecting for need most:
Pancake Mixes • Muffin Mixes • Pasta Sides • Peanut Butter • Potato Sides • Mashed Potatoes • Rice Sides • Cake Mixes • Brownie Mixes • Frosting • Peanut Butter • Canned Chicken Soup • Snacks (cookies, crackers) • Canned Meats (Spam, corned beef, ham, salmon) • Pancake Syrup • Granola Bars • Canned Fruit • Canned Corn • Canned Meals (Chef Boyardee, Stews, Chili) • Tomato Products (especially diced tomatoes, tomato paste) •Pet Supplies • Personal Bathroom Essentials • Crackers • Cookies • Laundry Detergent

Maybe you’re not in the position to donate…if that’s the case, we want you to know that God sees your needs and promises to provide for each one (Philippians 4:19). Aside from donations, we also need prayer. Praying for the gospel to be proclaimed through these events and for provision for those in need is another way to support the Pantry Project without donating.

Whether it’s through prayer or a food donation, we want to thank you in advance for partnering with BRIGHT-FM and Extreme Family Outreach for this month’s Pantry Projects!
