God Sees You When No One Else Does

Have you ever been in a crowd and felt completely and utterly alone?
If you have, you’ll completely identify with how this BRIGHT-FM listener was feeling. This listener wanted to remain anonymous, but they wanted to share how God saw them when they thought no one else did.
I was at a social event, and I felt very much alone in a crowd. So alone that I got in my car and left.
I cried out to God in my loneliness, tears running down my face.
At that moment, I felt in my heart that I should turn on the radio. Maybe it was a whisper from the Lord. Because when I did, I heard this, exactly this song from Casting Crowns.
‘Oh, my soul
You are not alone
There’s a place where fear has to face the God you know
One more day, He will make a way
Let Him show you how, you can lay this down
‘Cause you’re not alone’
Even in those moments when we feel overwhelmed by loneliness, God is there for us, giving us comfort in only the way that He can.
King David had extreme moments of loneliness. He’d often pray to God, “Turn to me and have mercy, for I am alone and in deep distress,” Psalm 25:16.
Know that you can pray that same prayer, too. And in your loneliness, here’s what God promises to do for you: “He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds,” Psalm 147:3.
