This past Saturday, the BRIGHT-FM community showed up in a huge way at Grace Pointe Community Church by coming out to donate to our Pantry Project initiative! Thanks to their generosity, alongside God’s faithfulness, Grace Pointe and Backpack Buddies will be able to provide food to kids in need this upcoming school year.

Pantry Project has become a monthly routine for us, and you might be wondering why. What’s the point? Why do we encourage people to get involved? The truth is, we love watching God provide for people just as He promises to and bring believers together in community while He does so.

When you choose to participate in any of our Pantry Project events, you receive two life-giving things in return:

  1. You fulfill Jesus’ calling to serve those around us.

In Mark 10:43-45 Jesus is teaching James and John about serving others, and He gives them this powerful commission: “But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else. 45 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
  2. You are connected to a network of like-minded Christ-followers by getting involved in our BRIGHT-FM community.

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!…For there the Lord bestows His blessing, even life forevermore.”Psalm 133:1,3

The call to serve and be in community with others are ones given to us multiple times throughout the Bible. These commands from God aren’t meant to be burdens, but rather they are gifts to bless others and ourselves as we become more like our Heavenly Father.

That is why we are so passionate about these Pantry Projects and why we want to invite you, if you are able, to gather a donation and hang out with us at our next van-stops.
