Shannon Downey found an unfinished quilt started by a woman named Rita at an estate sale. She decided she wanted to finish it, but she knew she needed help.
So, she took to the internet to recruit volunteers. In one day, she had 1,000 people volunteering to help her!
Shannon sent volunteers one hexagon embroidery pattern each, so they could help complete the 100-hexagon quilt.
If everything goes according to plan, the quilt will be finished in January.

This just goes to show that we’re stronger when we work together!
