A Reminder To Pray

Flags are flying half-staff this morning to honor the 29 people who died this weekend in El Paso and Dayton. They will remain this way through Thursday. How about we use this as a reminder to pray?
There are families this week who are doing what they never imagined having to do. They’re saying goodbye. Their realities have been permanently changed. Pray for them.
There are poeple in hospital rooms and there are people who love them near by watching, touching, wondering what the future holds. Pray for them.
There are people who weren’t hurt, but saw what happened. Their lives have been changed too. Pray for them.
And soon enough the headlines will fade, the posts will disappear, and the rest of us will refocus on the people in our lives and what they’re dealing with- as we should. But lives this weekend were forever changed just like those in Las Vegas, Charleston, Sutherland Springs, and other communities. Pray for them.
Flags are flying at half staff this week. Why not use that as a reminder?
