A Letter From Dave Paul
When I was 15 I decided I wanted to be a morning DJ. And, for most of my adult life that’s what I’ve done…morning radio. And, it’s been even better than I imagined as a young teen.
But, on December 23 I will close this long chapter of my life. That will be my final day with Tracey and Dave on BRIGHT-FM. Tracey will be joined by a new co-host starting January 4. More on that in a couple weeks.
The reason for this change is that Ava and I are moving to South Carolina. Actually, we moved in October, and I’ve been commuting most weekends since then. This move is something that Ava and I have been talking about, praying about, planning for, and working towards for several years.
While I will no longer be part of the morning show after the holidays, I am not leaving BRIGHT-FM. I will remain the Director of On-Air Fundraising. I will also be launching a new podcast this Spring that I’m very excited about. And, you’ll still hear me in the mornings covering vacation shifts. Just not every morning.
I know it was God working in my heart, leading this 15 year old towards morning radio. I also know it is God leading this no longer 15 year old into a new chapter of life.
