With the football season kicking off yesterday (shout out to that Ravens win ☝️πŸ’ͺ) and people rushing to Starbucks for their long-awaited pumpkin spice latte, it’s safe to say that the fall season is right around the corner. Although, in the age of Covid-19, things may look a bit different.

While we may not be able to flock to M&T Bank Stadium to catch a game or head to fall festivals, there are still plenty of ways to have fun while remaining safe.

Here’s a list of some ideas to help get you started:

1. Hayrides and Pumpkin Patches

Nothing says fall like hayrides and pumpkin patches. Take a ride and enjoy the newly painted leaves and pick out pumpkins to carve later. You can even have a photoshoot along the way to capture memories and get some fresh pictures for Instagram.

2. Bonfires

Bonfires are great in the summer, but they’re even better in the fall when there is a cool breeze that pairs well with a warm fire. I love gathering around a backyard campfire, listening to music, and just catching up with loved ones. It’s also basically a crime to have a bonfire without s’mores, so grab the graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate to toast up a snack!

3. Sunday Drives

Fall is all about changing leaves and cool breezes to push out that hot summer air. One of my favorite activities is to get together with my family, hop in the car, and roll down the windows! Let the cool air refresh you as you take a relaxing drive and enjoy the scenery of the season.

4. Apple Picking

On a crisp Autumn day, there are few things better than spending a day picking apples! It gives you a chance to enjoy the outdoors, but more importantly it’s great excuse to whip up some apple pie.

5. Fall-themed snacks

Snacks are always a good idea, no matter the season. The fall is best paired with tons of treats that are fun to make! From pies to cookies, there are plenty of delicious options! Maybe even an apple pie, possibly made from those fresh apples you’ll be picking πŸ˜‰
