4 Ways To Stay Safe & Spread The Love This Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, and it might be tempting just to let this holiday sneak by unnoticed. But now more than ever, we all need to take any chance we get to celebrate and have some fun.
From virtual concerts to date night ideas, we’ve got you covered.
1. Date night with takeout from a local restaurant:
Local restaurants have been hit hard by this pandemic, so it’s great to take any opportunity to support them if you are able. Maybe your favorite local spot isn’t open for in-person dining or you just don’t feel safe eating out quite yet. No problem! This year, you could plan to order a takeout Valentine’s Day dinner for you and your significant other (or your entire family)! Good food and spending time with those you love is always a match made in Heaven no matter where you are. Check out this list from Visit Maryland of local restaurants that could use some support.
2. Matthew West Love Fest:
Matthew West has been the king of virtual concerts this season, and he’s coming through once again just in time for Valentine’s Day. This will be a night of positivity, encouragement and LOVE for the entire family as Matthew West celebrates the 1 year anniversary of his album, Brand New. You can attend this virtual show from the comfort of your home on any of the three show dates: February 12th, 13th, or 14th. For more details and to pick up your House Party Ticket, check out our event page. Sponsored locally by Advanced Allergy & Asthma Centers, exceptional care and long-lasting relief.
3. Organize a virtual Galentine’s Day celebration:
Gather your best gal pals and get ready to celebrate. While it technically isn’t Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day is still just as fun and just as important. The day before Valentine’s Day is the perfect time for a virtual girls night to celebrate some ladies in your life. You can play virtual games, order takeout, and just spend time with some of the amazing women in your life! Read more about Galentine’s Day here to get some inspo.
4. Love Drive At Symphony Manor:
Last, but certainly not least, is the chance for you spread the love to those who need it most this Valentine’s Day. We are partnering with Symphony Manor to provide cards and other items to senior citizens. On Saturday, February 20th from 11am – 1pm, you can find the BRIGHT-FM team at Symphony Manor in Roland Park. Drive up and drop off cards of encouragement for the seniors and care workers, as well as other needed items that you can find here.
