Get to know Mike!

Mike has been on the air BRIGHT-FM for more than 20 years sharing his unique and highly caffeinated view of life.  In addition to his slightly obsessive love of coffee, Mike considers himself a “foodie” enjoying new restaurants and cuisines, but he isn’t snobby about it. One of his favorite things is still the Coney Island burger from G&A in Highlandtown!

Mike and his wife Stacey have been married for more than 30 years and live in “God’s Country” (or as others call it – Harford County) along with their almost adult son, Matthew and their very mouthy beagle, Gracie.  Mike is truly passionate about live music and events because of the way they help people fully experience an artist’s songs in a powerful way. This passion is what helps him direct 48Live, our concert and events ministry.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Airline Pilot!!  I love flying and wanted to fly passenger jets since I was a kid.  I would still love to get my pilot’s license.

What would you name your boat if you had one?
“The Backstage” being a concert guy, I love the activity and fun of being backstage at a show!

Favorite song?
What day is it?  This really does change all the time but “Can’t Fight This Feeling” by REO Speedwagon is always a favorite because it is Stacey’s and my song!  Awwww…

Favorite Bible Verse?
Philippians 4:19 (ESV) “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”  Key word in that verse: Needs!

What makes you laugh the most?
Stupid little things that happen between me and my wife that only we “get” – those can get me laughing to the point of tears. Where is that emoji? 😂 Yeah, that one!
